The 44th anniversary is a milestone in the history of a company. Founded in 1980, Dompel has become the largest manufacturer of furniture and accessories for beauty salons in Latin America, joining efforts to build a trajectory on solid bases.

Located in Caxias do Sul, in the Serra Gaúcha region, Dompel has its history marked by the entrepreneurial vision of its founding partner, who gave a unique identity to the business.

Trajectory

1979

Friends Jobem Donada and Antônio Jarbas Pereira establish the company, specializing first in metallurgy.

1979
1980

Dompel is registered under the fusion of the founders’ family names. Pereira leaves the partnership, and Livino Donada, Jobem’s brother, joins the business.

1980
1985

The company enters the plastic segment, a growing area at the time, producing hair rollers.

1985
1989

Dompel dedicates itself exclusively to the segment of salon accessories.

1995

The Donada brothers end the partnership. Jobem takes up the business in full.

1998

Dompel begins manufacturing household utilities, which goes on until 2003.

2000

Dompel leaves a 500 m² space and moves to its new 2.000 m² headquarters (which grows to 3.000 m² in 2012). That same year, it attends its first trade fair in São Paulo – Cosmética.

2001

The first Beauty Care trolley is launched. Manufacture of furniture begins, in addition to accessories.

2008

Dompel stops manufacturing accessories and dedicates exclusively to furniture.

2010

Dompel launches the Smaltbell trolley, the product that made Dompel an acknowledged brand in the market.

New acquisition and address change to a 12.000 m² space.

Salon accessories production return under the brand Altez.

First international trade fair in Italy, Cosmoprof Bologna.
